Meteor Striker

2.5D Platformer Action Game

Meteor Striker is a 2.5D action platformer where gigantic, fiery meteors threaten to annihilate your home, and you must destroy each one using powerful, yet fragile magical swords scattered across the land. The player must run and jump around the map, find a sword, use it with good timing to destroy a meteor, and repeat those steps to stop every meteor from hitting the ground

Optimization

Using both original assets and store assets, I edited and optimized each object to make sure the game runs smoothly and efficiently without losing form. This includes, reducing poly count, supercombining in Unity, creating texture atlas, optimizing terrain, deleting hidden faces and fixing broken topology.

Asset Integration

I combine store assets with custom assets to minimize work needed, all the while retaining the theme of the game. Animations were also a combination of custom and Mixamo assets. If there was a need to edit the animation, I would use a Unity Plug-In to edit the animation without the need to export and re-import.

UV Mapping, Textures, Shaders, and Materials

Maya is used to create or edit UV Maps while textures are all made in Substance Painter. I Integrated store shaders and materials to create the look and feel of the entire project.
